Instructional Design
Great Expectations
Great instructional design starts with great expectation. Taking the big picture view and connecting the dots, pulling together resources and expectations into an approachable message. Complex organization is a skill I bring to environments to develop high performing personnel. Whether it be new employee, new project or continued on the job training needs, I am capable of creating content that supports any phase of the employee journey.
Below are samples of original training designs and concepts.
New Employee Training Samples
Sample 1: Original Sales Model Training | Key Note
I utilized the ADDIE process to determine the needs of the sales team. I initiated a skill gap assessment and conducted interviews. End goal: Creating a clear sales flow identifying the 5 mechanics of a visit, reduce situational learning and provide consultative selling practice in a controlled setting.
What I learned from the staff: there was not clear structure and resources were scattered in too many places, creating an overwhelming process. This process prepared them to ask questions to get to an intentional outcome. This sales model was shared with L&D on multiple occasions due to the success and assisted to form a new sales model for the company.
Sample 2: New Employee 2 Week Workbook | Google Slides| Google Forms
This workbook was designed for wholistic Expert functionality, and to ensure consistency with Pod trainers. This system pulled together available resources and provided daily structure for mobile store training.
This training model built skill starting with basic mechanic and building towards advanced ability. The activity cards were designed to address the most common learning gaps from the field, and provide insight to leadership on employee ability to perform job function by deadline.
Every company tool and resource that would be needed for this training was attached as active links. There were forms the trainers filled out to gauge the success of the training and collect feedback.
I facilitated Trainer training on how to utilize workbook, and gathered feedback daily on effectiveness. This information was shared with all Captains to better guide their training and coaching focus.
Week 2: NTE Workbook
Week 3: Advanced Solution Workbook
Company New Initiative Training
Sample: New Tool training guide I created this training guide to support a new company initiative called the Live Catalogue. This was a new tool designed for virtual shopping. There was no guide or training provided to the Experts, so I took the initiative to create this training approach.
Targeted KPI's were 3 categories 1. viewed 2. product type view 3. item view

This training applied basic business acumen skills and business tracking guide to learn how to set a business strategy based off effort and results.
Sample 2: Conversion Training Strategy | Power Point
This training guide was designed to impact the KPI traffic conversion rate by targeting the 2 ways to impact conversion. The TNT Project, shown in the Leadership section, also connected into this training concept.
Execution Results: we were able to calculate conversion results in the fitting room to overall store conversion rate finding a controllable increase of 30%.
